What personal data we collect and why
Server logs
When you visit ToolGenix, our server (Nginx) automatically records standard log information: your IP address, browser user agent, referring URL, and the pages you visit. This data is used exclusively for:
- Diagnosing site errors and performance issues
- Understanding aggregate traffic patterns (which articles are popular)
- Protecting against malicious requests
We do not sell, share, or enrich this data. Logs are retained for 30 days and then automatically rotated.
Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare as our CDN and DNS provider. Cloudflare processes your request through their global network and may set their own security cookies. Cloudflare’s privacy policy covers their data handling: Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console to understand how our site performs in search results. This provides us with anonymized aggregate data — search queries, click-through rates, and indexing status. No personal information is shared with us through this tool.
Cookies
ToolGenix is a static site. We do not set our own tracking cookies. However, some third-party services we use may set cookies:

Affiliate links
Some articles on ToolGenix contain affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
These affiliate links are clearly marked. The affiliate networks (Amazon Associates, ShareASale, Awin, etc.) may use cookies to track referrals. These cookies are set by the affiliate network, not by us.
Embedded content
Articles may include embedded content (YouTube videos, GitHub gists, code repositories). Embedded content behaves as if you visited the third-party site directly. Those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to third parties. Limited data passes through our service providers (Cloudflare, Nginx) solely for site operation purposes.
How long we retain your data
Server access logs are retained for 30 days and then automatically deleted.
Your rights
You may request:
- Access — Ask what data we hold
- Deletion — Request removal of your data from our logs

ToolGenix does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
